Terms and Conditions for Walk Analytics

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Walk Analytics mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. License to Use

Walk Analytics grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on devices owned or controlled by you, subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store rules.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Important: Not Medical Advice

Walk Analytics is a fitness tracking and analysis tool, not a medical device. The data, metrics, and insights provided by the App (including Heart Rate analysis, Step Counts, and Activity Score) are for informational purposes only.

  • Always consult with a physician before starting any new exercise program.
  • Do not rely on the App for diagnosing or treating any health condition.
  • If you experience pain, dizziness, or shortness of breath while walking, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

4. Data Privacy

Your privacy is paramount. As described in our Privacy Policy, Walk Analytics operates on a local-only architecture. We do not store your health data on our servers. You retain full ownership and control of your data on your device.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Walk Analytics may offer premium features via in-app subscriptions ("Pro Mode").

  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Apple (for iOS) or Google (for Android). We do not store your payment information.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device settings.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, graphics, and algorithms (such as the specific implementation of Activity Score and step analysis), is the intellectual property of Walk Analytics and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the App's source code.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Walk Analytics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App. The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
